Palm stays locked - cannot unlock phone

My TREO 650 locks up after leaving it in Powersave mode for awhile. Usually you use the phone key and center key to unlock the phone. I cannot use the keypad or touchscreen to use the phone once it is locked. I have to pull the battery to get the phone to work again.

Any ideas as to why this is happening.

I just got a 650 two days ago, and mine is doing the same thing. If no body has any ideas, I'm going back to verizon.

My Sprint Treo did the same exact same thing until the latest firmware. It was 1.13 In January. I think you said you had Verizon so I included the link to the latest upgrade. It looks like it was released in October of 2005.

Not sure if that helps but the Sprint Upgrade did the trick for me.

just talked to tech support at verizon. He told me it is a device problem, and as I've only had it a few days, to go back to the store and replace it.
So guess I get a new 650 tomorrow unless I go with a 700...any thoughts on that, maybe I should start a new thread on that.

I would definitely go check out the 700 forum. Just remember that it is using Microsoft instead of Palm and any apps you have probably wont migrate.
