Default touchscreen freeze up and doesn't allow recalibration

I have a new Treo 600 with ATT. After 2 days of use it froze up. I did a soft reset to no avail. I did a hard reset, also to no avail. I finally did a factory reset and on page 3 of the 5-page set-up, it freezes up on the touchscreen calibration and will not go any further. Is there anything else that I can do to ressurect it?

Hello Carls, and welcome to Brighthand!

If you are experiencing hang ups during the initial set up of the Treo, you may have a bad unit. I would head back to the AT&T store and ask them to replace the handheld.

Thanks Alan. In fact, that's exactly what I did. It was just unfortuante that it happend on the holiday weekend and I was leaving for business in Thailand and Haiti for the following two weeks. Purchased a replacement and will deal with returns/reimbursements upon my return. Thanks.

Mine did the same exact thing and I had to take it back and get a new one. Great thing is that Sprint takes it back no questions asked.
