Re: operating facilities palm treo500v
Treo 500v does not have such a program natively, much to my dismay ...
There is the standard Mobile Word which you could use, but it does not support copy/paste of text (you need to upgrade to Mobile Office Professional for that).
There are 3th party alternatives to Memo Pad, though, both shareware and freeware.
Currently I am trialing Vieka WordPad, freeware. I am liking it so far
But I'd much prefer to have a solution that syncs to Outlook and is freeware too

Oops, missed that post ...
pölzl, what are you refering to ?
You open MobileWord and you can NOT enter text ?
Did you also try to remove everything that is there ?
Is this behavior the same in other applications (e.g. Messaging/SMS) ?Digital since 1980, handheld since 2001

Re: operating facilities palm treo500v
Hello shamz, welcome to Brighthand!

Be advised that files with prc extension are programs compatible with PalmOS, not with the Windows Mobile used by your Treo500. Files with pdb extension are data files mostly used by PalmOS programs, although there are some programs used by Windows Mobile that can open these pdb files (for example, ebook readers). Could you be more specific? Where did you download these files from, and did you check the websites for compatibility with Windows Mobile? You say the are prc and pdb files, but then you say they are pdf files... can you please check and confirm this?
If there is no Windows Mobile program similar to the PalmOS programs you downloaded, there is still a chance to run these PalmOS programs on you 500, by using an emulator called StyleTap. This program emulates a palmOS program on a Windows Mobile device, meaning you can load and run prc files on your 500.
Still, it may be simpler to look for a Windows Mobile compatible equivalent program.raspabalsa

Re: operating facilities palm treo500v
I don't think StyleTap will be of much use on the 500v as it is an entry level Windows Mobile phone without a touchscreen.
