Default File Explorer: removing date and file size column

Does anyone know how to remove the date and file size column in the File Explorer program, such that only the file name remains listed? Thanks.

I rather doubt that this is possible. File Explorer is in ROM, and cannot be decompiled to be rid of aspects. Even if you could, it would be rather illegal, but you can't. And this feature is in the program itself, not merely in a registry string somewhere. If you really want to have other options displayed when browsing your folders and files, try one of the many third-party explorers available. Many will allow you to at least drag the size column offscreen, and a couple might allow you to get rid of all but the names column in the Options. Resco's is good, and SuperExplorer is also worth a look. DEXplor is versatile and solid too.

I use Resco's and am happy with it. I bought one of their packages, & am haapy with their software. One of the few things I actually liked well enough to buy.

I use Total Commander (http://www.ghisler.com/pocketpc.htm). It is free and feature-packed. Here are three screenshots: http://www.ghisler.com/pocketpicture.htm

You can change the views to many ways (Folders only, folders' list only, size, date, etc.)
