Default Can you buy a Staples protection plan after you buy the PDA?

I'm wondering because I bought my PDA a few months back and now wish to purchase a protection plan, because legal or not, it's the cheapest way to upgrade.

a few months? i tend to doubt it. anyway i hope that staples wouldn't subject themselves to such blatant dishonesty.

Eh, I'd say I was wrong, but when I bought my PDA at staples, the guy told me explicitly that I could indeed use such a plan to upgrade.

Can I get the plan if I bring in my online-ordered Maestro to the local store before I open it, maybe? With the paperwork? You'd think they would honor that... Somehow I doubt they will.

you can definately get the protection plan in the store if you bought your pda online. at $40, it's a no-brainer. what you can't do is get it months after your purchase.

Cool - I shall do that ASAP when I receive it. No reason not to get protection on something that's not known as being the most reliable PPC (that honor must go to my previous Cassiopeias, I have to say).

I bought mine online a couple of weeks ago. Do I just take my paperwork into the local Staples and ask to buy the extended warranty? Is there a time limit?

    thanks!

Awhile back, somebody posted that Best Buy would sell you an extended warranty -- even if you didn't buy your PDA there. As I recall, they said as long as Best Buy sold that particular PDA (and they don't sell the Maestro), you could purchase the warranty. My guess is, however, that there is a time limit in which to purchase these extended warranties. Otherwise, people would be buying these warranties *after* the problems started to occur. When I purchased the Maestro at CompUSA, I believe they said a purchaser would have a week or two to purchase the extended warranty. Check with Staples to see what their policy is.

I just got mine in from Staples online. There is no local store. Can you get the extended warranty online?

i'd call the staples 800 number, it's something like 1-800-3staple
they'll be able to sell it to you i'd imagine (i don't understand though why they don't offer it when you buy the pda.)
