I came from (technically still using) a Palm Tungsten T3 and am would appreciate any leads on the iPod Touch equivalents for the following.......

    key
    APP
WHAT I USED IN THE APP
APPS I"M CURRENTLY USING FOR THIS

...not necessarily looking for a 1:1 equivalency. If it takes 3 apps to do on an IpT what it takes only 1 app to do on a T|T3, I'm good with that too.

    Parens
unit converter, currency converter, at least 5+ memory slots, back button, constants (such as Pi, Euler's number, etc.)
    >Calculator (builtin to the OS), Convertor (fun, but not practical), Currency

    Memos
Manual sorting, landscape mode, different sized fonts
    >Awesome Notes lite, All-In-Notes lite

    FileZ
check out how much memory each individual app and media file takes.
    >NONE

    Adrian Money/BankBook
like banking/expense app - custom layouts, can do searches and queries
    >NONE

    Notepad
freestyle notes - multiple colors, brush thicknesses, multiple undos
    >NONE

pOS launcher that can let you put apps into categories, rather than the garish, up to 16 apps per page
    >NONE

something that syncs photos into subfolders, unlike what comes with the IpT

    Documents To Go
something that can transfer and read PDF files
    >I know about DTG for IpT, but would like to know if there's anything freeware first.

Thanks in advance for any help!

For the unit and currency converter, I use myConvert. If it doesn't have the conversion you're looking for, you really don't need it. (Want to convert meters per minute to the Beaufort wind scale? Celsius to Rankine? Lithuanian litas to Mauritanian rupees? Slugs to pennyweights? Need to know the thickness in mm of 24-lb bond paper?)

Oh, and it can also do boring stuff like kilometers to feet. And the currency conversions are updated daily, automatically if you wish.

Regarding the Docs to Go replacement, do you need to edit, or are you just looking for a viewer? What file types in addition to PDF?

PCalc is a good calculator and converter. You can add conversion sets you want for cheap. Or just buy the full app for about $10. Makes a nice way to incrementally buy the features you want in an app.
