I have a Centro with Palm Desktop 6.2 on my Windows XP system. I've noticed that many of the birthdays on my contacts now show up incorrectly with 1970 as the year. I can edit the contact in the desktop software to the correct year and it carries over to my phone when I hotsync. BUT, if I edit any field in the contact on my phone, the year gets changed back again to 1970 in the desktop software the next time I hotsync. Is there a fix for this?

    Welcome to Brighthand, rdmcmullen!

You need younger friends. ;) There is a calendar limitation that does not allow certain older dates. On some devices it's 1901. From your story it sounds like PalmOS limits you to 1970. I know it's handy to have the birthday set to the actual year, but how about leaving it set to 1970 and putting the year in the description? I decided to do this after using many different devices and calendering applications. I gave up on dealing with actual years for birthdays in the calendar events. Oh, and I stopped speaking to people who were born before 1970. (Just kidding) :D
