    i've got it people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Adding video recording to bb pearl 8100 with 4.5 OS
    Item needed:
    JlCommander
4.5 OS on your bb 8100
4.5 os for 8320 to get the net_rim_bb_videorecorder.cod file
    Instructions:
Plug device into PC (do not open the desktop manager)
    open JL commander command promp
the cod file needs to be coppied into the c:/program files/ jlcommander folder
Use the command: javaloader -usb load ner_rim_bb_videorecorder
Device will reboot and your video will work.
    Do at your own risk!!!!

you actually dont need to do all of this, you can simply update you OS to 4.5, just remember to delete the vendor file, this enables video on the 8100's and 8300's

note: the 8130 and 8330 comes with this feature already enabled because they run OS 4.3 out of the box

I don't think you can "flash" the ROM; a simple software upgrade may work. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.

A software upgrade is not what gives you video. Although you get much better multimedia options like streaming with the upgrade to 4.5 there is no video capture available.

I Figured I'd make it a little easier for you guys
if you need the net_rim_bb_videorecorder.com it's attached at the Bottom

    Blackberry 8100 videorecording

    1) download JL_Cmder_v1.9.0 (don't forget to install 4.5 firmware for your 8100 before this)
    2) download firmware v4.5 for BB 8320 or v4.5 for BB 8300
    3) install downloaded firmware for 8320 or 8300 in your PC
    4) extract JL_Cmder to some folder (for instance "video")
    5) from installed firmware copy file net_rim_bb_videorecorder.cod to JL_Cmder folder (for instance mentioned "video")
6a) stop Blackberry Desktop Manager and connect 8100 via USB
6b) from cmd (command prompt) from JL_Cmder folder (here mentioned as 'video' folder) start command:
    JavaLoader.exe -usb load net_rim_bb_videorecorder.cod

    7) after successful uploading, 8100 is rebooted and you can use videorecording
(it's not perfect on 8100 seems to me - sometimes works in Sepia color mode, but better than nothing. only reason why they don't distribute videorec on there is to force you buy new mobile.)
