My Note 4 on Sprint, at a favorite lunch location, would get 15-20Mbit speeds. Far more than I would ever normally need. Not too shabby I thought.

Just tested again with my Note 5 at the same location. 99Mbit download...

I fell off my chair. I had to re-test to make sure it wasn't a fluke. I also confirmed data flow using Network Monitor Mini. Unbelievable! They certainly don't account for improvements in LTE performance in any reviews I've read. Good grief...

The same thing happened for me between the Note 2 and the Nexus 6, and the Nexus 6 isn't even a Sprint branded phone. I'm currently living mostly in Fairfax, VA, where my signal overall improved tremendously, but even back down at the Florida house where I notoriously had little to no signal at all, I now actually get a mid-range LTE signal with the Nexus 6.
