I really liked Covert Affairs  I think they realised early they had a hit show that could endure for quite a while so there was no need to rush the plot or her character, watching her grow into her role as a spy was a refreshing change from the usual experienced tough woman characters
    Enjoy :)

All the best, woz of oz

I was a fan, too. I was also surprised when the series wasn't renewed after several successful seasons. :vbfrown:

woz, I was thinking of watching Jamestown soon too. Looks good.

scjjtt, I think I read once that Covert Affairs was one of the first shows to be filmed entirely or primarily with a high-grade consumer (or 'prosumer') digital camera from Canon called the 5D Mark II. Pretty cool.

I've seen bits & pieces of it but I saw several episodes of the end Season 4 (very good) & last night we watched a few of the beginning of Season 5. Tonight I'm heading to watch a State H.S. Boys Basketball playoff game. I don't think Mrs scjjtt will wait for me to continue watching it.

More from The Good Place, name dropping by Tahani (hot, rich fraud with legs for days) Al-Jamil. I was surprised to learn this is the first full gig for Jameela Jamil, such a natural talent :newpalm:

I am so enjoying this show. I love the twists and turns that came at the end of season 1 and begining of season 2 and assume many more are on their way. :-D The facial expressions of Chidi just crack me up. :D

'Stargate Origins' Brings Classic Sci-Fi Back Tonight

The "Stargate" prequel series "Stargate Origins" has begun; the first three episodes are now live, and additional episodes are set to release at least once per week. The episodes are available to paid subscribers now, and will be freely available starting at 7 p.m. EST today (Feb. 15), or midnight Feb. 16 GMT.

The 10-minute episodes of "Stargate Origins" are available only on the streaming service Stargate Command, which also hosts all previous "Stargate" TV series and movies for viewers with paid accounts. While the first three episodes will be free to anyone who signs up for Stargate Command, future episodes will be available only to those who pay a one-time $20 fee. The episodes will be available online until May 15, Stargate Command representatives said in a statement.

"In 1939, Professor Paul Langford and his daughter Catherine are still grappling with the mysteries of the ancient relic they discovered in the Egyptian desert more than 10 years ago," representatives said in the statement. "With war looming in Europe and funding running out, these brilliant minds are approaching their lowest ebb. Little do they know, answers are about to present themselves in a dangerous form, when the Nazi occultist Dr. Wilhelm Brücke approaches their facility with a sinister motive.

"Enlisting the help of two young soldiers, Catherine and her new allies embark on an adventure into the unknown to rescue her father and save the Earth from an unimaginable darkness," the statement continued.

Watch the first three episodes of "Stargate Origins" here.

I thought stargate universe was ridiculously good scifi. Those two seasons were gold. Wish they'd gotten 5.
