Used to be easy to find the games from PLBM like Island Hopper, Planet Lander, LED sports, Mini-Dig, and so on. But they seem to all be scrubbed from the net, anyone know anything about 'em? the PLBM site is in limbo.

Palm games getting rare methinks! :(

Arvale used to crash my old palm and I'm not sure it works with Palm OS, by the way...

    thx, gski

I love those games! The developer released them as freeware not long before he went AWOL. I have most of them on my hard disk. PM me your email and I'll send them over.

Thanks Raspabalsa. :newpalm::newpalm::newpalm:I'm posting what appears to be the complete list of Kurt Dekker's PLBM Games (Brighthanders: did I miss any of 'em?):

    Ack Ack Attack
    Bazoink
    Beer Kegger
    Bombs Away
    'Botz
    Chopper Rescue
    Clowning Around
    Crawlypede
    Scrolliez
    Island Hopper
    Kerboom!
    LED Sports
    Logger
    Mini-Dig
    Mini-Lander
    Palm Pop
    Pipe Ripper
    Planet Lander
    Plaxx
    Revenge of Froggie
Revenge of Toadie (if you install, R. of Froggie will automatically replace it)
    Scud Attack
    Ski Racer
    Snorgg!
    Speed-Kar
    Stalactites
    Zee Artillery (ZART)

Regarding Chopper Rescue, it used to mercilessly crash my TE2. I notice that this version has less density of color and doesn't crash (not yet anyway).

Regarding most of the games, I notice the best way to play them is in portrait mode (on a Palm with a 320x480 screen), making sure to turn on the popup keyboard, so that the game runs as a 320x320 just fine. If you run them sideways you are asking for trouble.:p

Regarding Kurt Dekker, here is a repost of his readme file with his gracious bye bye message:

(BEGIN PASTE OF KURT DEKKER'S README FILE):

    Dear Gamers,
Today I have made the decision to release all of my PalmOS
titles as freeware. If you have placed an order at PLBM.COM
within the past two months I apologize for the delay, but
your credit card information has been safely deleted and
you will not be charged for any game purchases made.

This zip file contains individual zip files with each of
the games recompiled and tested as "FREEWARE," which means they will play indefinitely and without limitation on your
    PalmOS compatible device.

Unfortunately I can no longer support these games. If you
get them to work, more power to you. If there are issues
regarding compatibility, I apologize in advance, but I
cannot offer any suggestions. I recommend using google to
find potential answers to your compatibility issues.

I want to take this opportunity to thank every one of you
who have purchased my games in the past six years, and to
say that this has been just the funnest bit of handheld
    coding I've ever done.

I won't go into great detail as to why I have decided to
free things up, but suffice to say the following:

    - I have moved on to newer coding interests
    - PalmOS sales are basically winding down
    - newer PalmOS devices have compatibility problems
    - my PalmOS game code base itself is quite old now

So in closing, THANK YOU for all your wonderful support
and don't worry, this isn't the last you'll hear of me!!

    Best,

    Kurt W Dekker (sales@plbm.com)

Hope this information on this forum now helps some Palm OS game hunter someday! :newpalm:
Thx again raspa :cool:and best to all; Brighthand Rocks! -gski.

I'd love a zip too, if you still have it :) It'll be handy to add to my cache on the hard drive (Already have PDAMill, Astraware, Hobbyist, and the fellow who made SnowBob)
