As I begin to convince myself that I'm nearing the Holy Grail of Convergence, my Nokia E71 decides that my short (170 lines) of plain text is just too much, and TRUNCATES my ToDo notes w/o asking. "Oh, thanks!" I thinks.

So, I decide that I'll just have to move the ToDo to a regular NOTE. Anything to accommodate Nokia's idiosyncrasies. What a royal pain.

Sigh...this reminds me of moving from the HP200LX to Palm -- some things just weren't as good. And never were. But, life goes on.

Do, please, advise me if I'm missing something. The truncation seems to happen on the sync. Text present on my PC gets chopped during the transfer.

Yes, I'm afraid that Nokias truncate notes over a certain length when syncing with Outlook.

You can check out Dreamlife from DreamSpring. Dreamlife came out after I left Symbian, but Dreamconnect, their contacts app that has now been incorporated into Dreamlife, used to preserve long notes on contacts when Symbian wouldn't.
