System Lockout [Palm Treo 650]

    I bought a new phone at Alltel
    I changed my password and I wasn't on my phone about three days after that
    When I did go on it It came up "SYSTEM LOCKOUT" and told me to enter my password
    I fogot what it was
    If anyone could help me get it unlocked that would be great, and a big help
    I looked at a post by 'Nine" and he told him to click on the URL but it said System Unavailable
    Again if someone could help that would be great!

    The only way to pass it is by doing a Hard Reset which will wipe all your data. If you haven't installed anything, then it won't be a problem for you since you have it new.

    So, in order to perform a hard reset on a 650, do the following:

    1. Power phone off and remove the battery cover.​
    2. Press and hold the red power/disconnect button on the front of the phone.​
    3. While holding the Power key, insert the stylus in the reset hole on the back of the device.​
    4. Continuing to hold the power button on the phone, watch the screen until you see the "Palm Powered" screen, once you see that screen, release the power button.​
    5. A warning message will appear: "Erase all data?"​

    6. Press Up arrow key to complete the hard reset.

    If the phone prompts you to press the up arrow to reset the device, you've successfully performed a Hard Reset. Keep in mind that doing so will erase everything from the device, taking it back to factory settings. If you have a removable memory card, the data there will not be affected.

    Are you sure it's a 650, or is it a 680? I don't think Alltell still sells the 650s since their dated/old.

    Indeed, we'd like to know exactly which device you have so that I can relocate your thread to the correct forum if necessary. (I also don't think you can buy a 650 anymore thru a service provider.)

    Try the Hard Reset and post your results.
