New update for EVOs made Swype "standard."
Been using it for a while. The voice entry is petty nice.
Yeah. I thought many Android phones already came with this feature. My understanding is that the guy who created Swype also created T9 Predictive, and went the same route, with trying to get phone sellers to include it OEM.
anyone tried SlideIt Keyboard, I found it actually better in terms of prediction than the Swype beta
I have heard that from a couple people... may give it a try.
I might try it just to see if I can end this insane reinstalling everything each time there is an update.
Then again, rooted and unlocked, I will probably only get updates by flashing them myself.
Tried Swype as soon as I got my Desire last month and loved it. BUT jus as I get into the swing of it ( a couple of days) it just stops working. The keyboard is there but when I swipe nothing happens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and again it works for a couple of days but stops again. It's driving me mad. I really want to use Swpe but it's just so unstable.
I have switched to Shapewriter which is a good alternative but the keys are smaller so I make more mistakes.
Assuming you have an official beta, contact them and let them know the problem.
