Yes, it's a nice gift from Dmitry. For those who don't feel like reading his 1src thread, this is an early farewell gift, since Dmitry says he won't develop more PalmOS software besides his two current projects: nuROM and the SDHC drivers.

Yes, I agree. This is very kind of Dmitry. I never used SkinUI before, I never really understood what it did..but I've heard wonderful comments about it so I'm sure it's great. I use Colorize, but somehow I'm guessing that this does something much different.

Still, a very kind gesture and I wish him all the best in his future endeavors. I think I'll go over to 1src and tell him just that. :D

It is eye candy, but it does a whole lot more that colorize. It really skins your whole palm for you. Alerts and the like are animated (if you use the skins made for SkinUI 2.x):D ! The trasformations/effects are fabulous! Every kind of transform you've seen in powerpoint now happens to dialogue boxes and the like on your palm. What's more you have complete control over which apps do what. Some apps need to be completely excluded in order to work properly (apps that skin themselves or apps that use too much memory such as netfront on the TX). It is really very nice. It also has sound packs so you can change the sounds your device makes. I currently use the vista skin with the sbs sound pack.:D

GOOD LUCK! Check out my post in the similar thread over at 1src. There are some things to look out for, but by and large it is an enjoyable app.

FYI: the apps in my per app config list (exceptions list) are:
    OffFlush
    OnTimeRX
    PalmPDF (skins itself)
    PREFS (dmitry's)
    TealScan
UnCache (I don't use it anymore - use cleanstart, but never took it out)
    blazer (saves memory)
