I've noticed that my Droid X2 can't access my contacts list when I'm in messaging (for a text message). The only way that's working for me is when I choose a recipient in contacts and choosing text. Am I missing something here? This is the first time I've seen this in any of my phones.

    Welcome to Brighthand

I'll have to check tonight on my DroidX, but I agree, seems odd. At the least, I'd expect if you started entering the name of a contact for a new text message, that you'd see a dropdown list of matches -- for example, if I type in Jo, I'll see a list of names : Joe, John, and so on.

Yeah, works the way I described. I checked settings in Contacts & in Messages and didn't see anything that looked like it would make any difference. Sorry I couldn't find anything useful.
