-A butter knife can act as a flat head screwdriver

-To eliminate scratches from a watch glass, rub it with toothpaste. It does wonders!

-The interior of banana's skin can be used to polish shoes

-Crazy glue can quickly patch small cuts without any secondary effect

That's the ones I know, share yours! :D

Have you ever tried polishing shoes with a banana peel? I did. Once. Just once.

    - Coca Cola is excellent to clean electrical cables and battery terminals. Just shake it, spray in terminal or cable, then brush or wipe it.

I've used the one about CrazyGlue more than once, works very well indeed, but hurts like hell too

In one of my wilderness medical courses a doctor told us about Crazy Glue too. He did feel obliged to add that "the non-mutagenic properties of Crazy Glue when used internally have not been tested." I've always remembered that.

    - If lost in the country with no matches you can start a fire by shorting out the battery's terminals with a thin wire (or steel wool): the wire will burn and the dried leaves and wood will kindle.

    - You can cook a chicken (or any bird) in the woods without using a pot: take the bird, remove the guts, spice it, then cover it completely in a thick layer of mud, and toss it in the fire. The mud will get dry and will work as an oven, baking the chicken inside. An ex-commando friend taught us this and several other survival tips. And the chicken tasted great too!

So you have a battery but not matches and you have no (cooking) pot but you have spices? You need to pack better, my friend. :)

Heh, heh, right, but let's say you do have matches but they got soaked in the rain because you were too intent on protecting your battery-powered device. And maybe the pot was mistakenly used as a ... potty? I'm sure nobody would want to use it for cooking afterwards! :D
