I want the 1910 sooooo bad!!!!!!!
I can't wait until Dec 18!!!!
It's a beauty...
Wow, the ipaq is gorgeous. The screen on it looks wonderful too. I think a lot of the viewsonic people might be swayed over. The Dell is in the unfortunate position of being next to the smallest PPC on the market .
PS: thanks for the pictures
Nice pics how does the dell screen compare?
Many thanks for the pix. They are very nice, and it gives us unfortunate folks (non Comdex attendees) here a good view of the 3 new PPC devices. You also picked the proper screen contents - very useful. I thank you.
I think all the 3 screens are very nice. But the size of the h1910 is quite amazing. I was disappointed to learn that it's a 3.5" screen instead of the 3.8" (as in other iPAQs), but i think its size may just sway me to get it.
Hmmmm..... i noted that the PPC version in the Dell is slightly more recent than that on the h1910 (3.0.12039 vs 3.0.11171). Not that it really matters, i guess.
Would love to see a pix comparing the h1910 with the V35.
Thanks again, Paul
You're very welcome.
I wish I could take credit for the pics, but I've just stumbled on them.
Ahhh...<reality off> the 1910 does look like a killer device<reality on>. If only it had SDIO, and full 64mb of user RAM / 32 mb ROM. Maybe in the same vein as Toshiba, HP will release a 1915 (ie. Toshiba e310->e330)?
man, that dell is looking awefully big lately! That things a brick!
Anyway, this 1900 series is remarkably small compared to the larger iPaqs... I wonder if they carried over the jornada tradition to making the power/led/button on top to turn of the screen, but since it's the power button, i bet it just turns off the backlight
I believe that little top, center switch you mentioned is the
power on/off switch. The backlight on/off switch appears to be
on the left edge of the unit if i'm not mistaken.
I also believe Cindy Box of HP already said that they will
be releasing other versions of the light iPAQ next year.
Maybe, they will have SDIO and 64meg user-accessible
RAM. For me, the h1910 will suffice for now.
Interesting that no one would make the comment of how "big" the new high-end iPAQs are going to be...basically the same size as the Dell, and still without dual expansion slots. Oh well...
The Dell just looks so big because (as toshtosh pointed out) it's beside the smallest PPC ever made.
