Your post is an excellent example of "serendipity"... Just a couple hours ago Mrs R and I were shopping and I asked her if she was hungry. She said no, I said I was, so we went to the food court. I told her I was going to order and asked if she wanted anything. She said no. I repeated, with an "I know you" warning, again no. I went to order, came back, repeated with an admonishment about me not going to share my meal with her. Again she declined so I ordered although I was somewhat worried. When I got my order I told her again if she wanted anything, because I don't like eating in front of someone who isn't eating. For the nth time she declined, so I attacked my plate with fork and knife. Not 5 minutes in she asked me for a bite of this, then that, over and over. She ate maybe 1/3 of my order, at which point I stood up and ordered another almost identical meal. I should have known what would happen. In 8 years it's never failed

Jig, I think all menus ought to have that option. Brilliant. I will say, aside from my many quirks, I have no problem casually eating in front of someone who isn't eating, although it happens rarely. I'm also not super-particular about sharing food off of my plate as long as they ask first.
