Raspa, I've been a McAvoy fan for a long time (before he was US-famous). You cite mostly his popcorn movies; but he is a serious actor. I first saw him in the UK version of Shameless, the film Starter for 10 (highly recommended, with a killer soundtrack), and Atonement (film), which sort of made his name here I think. He's been in several other more serious fare, where he shines. I also saw him early in a short UK series that modernized 4 Shakespeare plays (another actor not quite famous yet was Damien Lewis and Eamonn Walker was in another unrelated Shakespeare remake of Othello which was excellent). McAvoy's was a version of Macbeth set in a Michelin-starred restaurant. It was perhaps the best one.
I also saw Atomic Blonde (I can only recall one twist, but I'll have to review) and Split, which I didn't realize was part of that Unbreakable continuum until the epilogue which promised Mr. Glass to come. McAvoy was pretty good in that as well.
Well, those were the movies I'd seen from him. He surprised me with Wanted, but I didn't look for more of his movies until after watching Atomic Blonde. I don't see many UK movies (I'm a child of Hollywood ), but I looked for Starter for 10 and it's not available on Netflix or Google Play, at least for my region. I'm not a fan of drama or romantic movies, so I'll pass on your other recommendations.
Atomic Blonde does have one twist, but it's a double twist I really enjoyed Split, but part of me regrets watching it so early, since now I'll have to wait until sometime in 2019 to see Glass.
I'm looking for movies to watch next Sunday. Outside of drama, romance, and religion, most everything is fair play for me. I do watch some mixed content, i.e. drama/fantasy or romance/comedy. I think the only drama/romance/religion movie I've seen is Ghost, but then, who hasn't?
someone explain to me, please, how this is an SUV..
I believe that's a "crossover", kind of a half SUV, half regular car. In other words, small like a car, but guzzles fuel like a SUV. In further other words, the worst of both types.
Fish are as picky about their water temperature as Goldilocks was about her porridge
..it is what it is, and it ain't what it's not..
Would I lie to you?
