R.I.P. Dr. Hawking
I wonder how many times he may have uttered this phrase in real life. Must have been a great honor to be in his presence discussing science. I loved and admired how he decided to participate in popular shows, and incidentally, some of my favorite ones: The Simpsons, Star Trek TNG, The Big Bang Theory.
R.I.P. indeed, and thank you for opening our eyes a little bit more, and for the laughter too.
It's good to be back in OZ

Sign #6: The Delivery Of Dead Things
While perhaps not the most pleasant gesture to be on the receiving end of, a cat bringing you dead critters is acting out of love.
Female cats are the most likely to partake in this slightly gruesome behavior, especially if they’ve been spayed and don’t have young of their own. Their instinct to mother and care for their family doesn’t go away and—without an appropriate outlet—they resort to mothering and caring for us. And this, of course, includes feeding.
Worse, this sometimes includes training. Many cats will bring home small injured mammals for us to destroy. “Here, try your hand at killing this,” they’re saying. “I’ve handicapped it for you.”
"A closed door you say? How quaint. I shall investigate, and put an end to this silliness.”
Ah, yes, I well remember having to tread carefully down the hallway in the early morning darkness, fervently hoping not to step on any overnite offerings brought in thru the kitty door. Sometimes I made it. That's when/where I learned that it wasn't wise to walk around the house barefoot.
The thing is, an indie author like me doesn't have a big marketing budget. I'm pretty reliant on the f&¢kery working in my favour, and you and me - well, we can kick Skynet's ass by putting in those reviews on launch day.
