Skinny dip: World record broken on County Wicklow beach
More than 2,500 women have stripped naked on a beach in the Republic of Ireland to break the world record for the largest skinny dip.

Magheramore Beach, just south of Wicklow Town, was the venue for the women-only event on Saturday morning.

The combined efforts of the 2,505 women broke the existing Guinness World Record, which had been set in 2015 when 786 people bared all on South Beach in Perth, Australia.

The event marked the sixth year of the annual Strip and Dip charity swim, which was founded by Deirdre Featherstone when she was undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

    Video produced by Erinn Kerr.

Apparently, there's a farm in North Georgia that offers goat yoga. My next door neighbor is planning an excursion there for her early July birthday. She mentioned it a few weeks ago and I thought she was kidding. :vbtongue:

Sometimes, Odd News is really awesome!

Minnesota pitcher strikes out friend for state tourney berth, consoles him before celebrating

Here’s a cool story that went national and is now coming back local:

Mounds View defeated Totino-Grace in the Class 4A, Section 5 baseball final late last week. For the final out, Mounds View pitcher Ty Koehn struck out Jack Kocon to end the game — touching off a wild celebration near home plate as Mounds View advanced to the state tournament.

But as it turns out, Koehn and Kocon are good friends. And before joining his teammates in the celebration, Koehn cruised past his teammates and consoled Kocon at home plate, giving him a long hug and walking him back toward his dugout before joining his teammates.

The two are reportedly close friends and played youth baseball together before parting ways in high school. Mounds View (a public school) and Totino-Grace (a private school) are located in the north metro area and are less than five miles apart.

The best part: You can watch the whole thing unfold.

Unstoppable raccoon makes it to the top!

    '
The raccoon rested comfortably on a window ledge of UBS Tower in downtown St. Paul, just shy of the roof where workers had placed leave traps to capture the critter and return it to safety.

'A plucky raccoon scaled a downtown St. Paul building early Wednesday after spending a day mesmerizing workers and internet watchers across the world.'

The critter stopped for a nap just two stories below the UBS Tower roof, then headed back down around 2:30 a.m. before going to the top, where animal control officials had set up traps with food in hopes of luring him in and ensuring a safe and happy ending.

WINSTEAD, Minn. — First responders had to use a power saw to help a woman who got her head stuck in a pickup truck’s exhaust pipe at a Minnesota festival.

KARE-TV says the incident happened at the Winstock Music Festival in Winstead over the weekend.

Firefighters were called to help the trapped woman, who is OK.

The McLeod County Sheriff’s Office says the woman was cited for underage drinking and escorted from the festival once she was freed.

She killed her husband because he beat the cat, she tells police

Police in Dallas, Texas, say a 47-year-old woman has told detectives she shot and killed her husband because he had been beating the family cat.

Authorities say Mary Harrison has been arrested and jailed on a murder charge in the slaying of her 49-year-old husband Dexter Harrison. She’s being held on $100,000 bond.

Mary Harrison told authorities that the shooting Saturday occurred during an argument. Dexter Harrison was taken to a hospital, where he died.

In a statement Sunday, Dallas police say Harrison told officers that her husband had been beating the cat.

Neighbors say the family cat recently went missing, Mary Harrison had posted signs about it disappearing and the pet eventually returned.

And it's a cat that can read too... is more justification needed?
