Not so much the Galaxy, but the cheap plan announcement

    Samsung Galaxy S 4G Coming to T-Mobile

    The most interesting part to me was the $10 minimal entry fee. Pretty much anybody can stomach a $10 bump in their phone bill, I think. As to the cap, it will allow people like me, who have no idea what their usage would be, to try it out for a minimal tariff and either control their tapping while on network or, if it's valuable enough, expand their plan. My wife pays at least that much for a minimum plan on her feature phone with VZW. With a smartphone, it would be much higher.

    To use a drug metaphor, call it a "gateway" plan.

    Of course, to extend said metaphor, pairing a minimal plan with 4g data suckage might be akin to giving a potential addict a hit of meth free. But the next one's gonna cost ya.
