It would have been nice to mention that for full functionality, a $20 "Advanced" registration is required. I gladly paid it, as I've been using the beta for a while and like it, and consider the fee worthwhile, but I didn't see ANY mention of this until I went to do the required registration and it took me by surprise.

Thank you very much for the support Steve. You are right I should have remembered to include the fee.

The new version installation instructions say that you have to uninstall the beta version first. It would be a serious pain for me to re-enter all of my bookmarks in the new version. Is there any way to preserve my bookmarks through an upgrade? I couldn't find anything addressing this issue on the website, and when I e-mailed projectstaff@openmobility.org, I got a bounce on two of the users that resolved to and no further reply. In the past I received very prompt replies to my questions.

I think the upgrade price is well worth it (I would have paid you $20 a long time ago if you had asked), but when e-mail starts bouncing one begins to wonder.....

    Hi,

Yes there is a way to do this. I haven't done it lately, let me run through it again and document it and I'll post it.

When did you email us last? We switched to a new mail server that we host, about a week ago due to problems with the previous mail server (that we didn't host) such as you described.

There should be no delivery problems with the current email server.

I'll post back within 24 hours,

    Best regards,
    Ty

    Hi,

Looks the the procedure I've used in the past is going to have issues with the latest version.

Let me see how time consuming it will be to to write a little utility to convert the old database to the new format.

The beta server will be online at least until Monday, please continue to use the beta version and I'll get back to you by Monday.

    Best regards,
    Ty

There's a new version (1.0.2) of Vagabond that's been posted which will convert bookmark data from the beta version. The converted bookmarks won't be categorized, however, and the categories have to be recreated, but that's a minor issue for me.

Thanks for taking care of this, Ty!
