    Thanks for the info.

The dll and registry settings seems to be the same with those on the previous version. HP probably fixed the install problem. I didn't tried to install on the PDA yet.

Actually HP quietly fix the Vista install problem with the previous update, not that they acknowledged it in anyway. This DOES NOT correct the Channel Display problem, :( and once again the Vista install seems broken.

Thanks for uploading the CAB file, Menneisyys.

This appears to be the 38p41 driver again, at least that is what I am seeing it displayed as. So unless there are some registry changes with this file it simply seems to add confusion.

Thank You David for the update.

I wasn't aware of this Update...

Strange, i set notification email to the new updated driver at HP site.. but it doesn't notice me. I checked my email on the bulk folder and it wasn't there.
    hmm..

Interesting, I didn't get the update notification either; even though I did the with the update 2-3 weeks ago.

    Thanks for posting it, David!

Does anyone know what the updated driver is supposed to do? WiFi for me is working great, does the new driver add any functionality? If not, I'll probably hold off until I have a reason to upgrade (Don't fix it if it's not broken).

In release notes of both updates is said that new driver should behave better when roaming, that means when connected to wifi network with multiple access points selection of AP with best signal should be improved.

This is the same update as before. HP, in their release notes, says it is a reissue of the same driver wth the install issues fixed, so it can now be installed on all versions of the 210.

'Don't fix it if it's not broken' - excellent advice. I should have taken it...
The update stopped WiFi connecting automatically to my home network; I needed to enter the password every time I connected. APs started disappearing from the list of networks.
I was able to uninstall it (I have a series of backups too.)
I think I ran into trouble because the signal strength of my network is low where I use my iPAQ and there are other, stronger signals nearby.

I think "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" should be pinned in red at the top of these forums! I've been using pocket computers since about 1983 and the number of times I've been bitten on the bum because I thought "I'll just tweak this" and then disaster strikes doesnt bear thinking about.
But then thats why we love Windows Mobile - never a dull moment.

Saw this info, downloaded it and installed it with no problems from Win Vista 32-bit desktop. I had no problems with wifi connections and am really happy with the way my 211 connects to my network within 5 seconds of turning on the wifi. The update has not made any changes to me connecting, that I’ve noticed so far.

I didn't realize this was the same as the previous update. I downloaded it and went to install it and it told me I didn't need it.

Guess I should pay more attention to the descriptions. ;)

HP replaced old wi-fi driver updates with one with version 1.01, same release date as 1.10. Installer is changed. Nothing changed in the dll and registry settings. Pobably this time works ok on averey device/ windows OS intalation.
