With any luck, this year I will be able to harvest about 100 pounds of honey. The plan is to bottle, then sell it and see if I can recoup some of my initial investment. I'm currently in the process of having someone design a label for the jar but I'm lacking a very important componet.... the name.

I need a name for the honey but haven't been able to come up with something unique, interesting but most importantly, marketable. It wouldn't hurt to also have some kind of logo, but that's secondary. I can't imagine a better think-tank than my friends here at Brighthand so I though I would post and see what you can come up with. Maybe we should make it a contest....if the name comes from BH, then winner will get the first bottle of honey sent to them.

Please be advised. "Big Deck Honey" is not an option. ;)

    So......who's first?

Yes, I'm hoping that the few serious one's I get will be very good. :)

As for organic, I think I can call it organic as long as it truly is organic, no certification needed. So far, it is organic. Just can't use any chemical treatments on them.

I like yous r0k, but I don't think that I'm going to use Scoobie.

True, it's not that simple, I just didn't want to bore everyone with regulations. I currently quality for "organic" but I don't believe I'll be using that in the name.

Terabeethia Honey has been at the top of my list for a while now. My only concern was it didn't connect with either myself personally (will be selling locally to many that know me) or it didn't convey that the honey was locally produced. Many people buy honey for allergies but it's doesn't have much benefit unless it's made with local pollen.

What are locally meaningful place names and words for us to play with? ("Illinois Gold" probably doesn't work ;) )
