was reading an article about the Great Lakes are warmer than usual, and how it might affect lake-effect snows... no firm conclusions: "well, it could do this, or it might do that" don't think the temperature were up to Scott's levels, though

FYI - we hit another record - 25 days in November of 80 degrees or higher. The previous record was 24 days set in 1949. Today, we are expected to tie or break the previous record high for December 1 of 83 degree.

Hoping that all who are in the 'danger zone' are okay

This weather is nuts! Fog so thick I couldn't see my neighbors house in my backyard this morning. Fog has returned just as thick this eve. Temps in the 50s and sunny today. Now storms are bearing down on us. Tornado watches, and wind gusts over 60mph. People took to pulling in yard decorations and patio furniture. Securing things as best we can. We are waiting for it to hit. My family is in the SE portion of the state where the danger is more pronounced. Jig and I are more Central and might be spared a direct hit, but only time will tell. Got note from the schools that they are watching the weather and will send out note after 5:30am regarding school delay or cancelation for tomorrow.

For now, watching Christmas Vacation and trying not to worry about something I can't control.
