I've been in AZ twice. The lack of humidity left my nose a bit... unhappy. Nasal passages dried out a bit too much. The views were amazing though. The nights cool, which is not what I had expected.

Either way, that's a far cry from what we've got going on up here. We've got friends that live on this lake. A few houses down on their street, the house is surrounded by water. It's getting worse...

The weather has been beautiful this week. The colors are stunning this time of year.

We're not too far behind you, HC, and have had gorgeous early autumn weather all week. One of my favorite times of the year!

That line of storms that is shown over Birmingham AL is now over me. We have tornado and flood warnings and the whole nine yards. :vbfrown:

I appreciate the good wishes. At one point I had to flee to the basement for an hour last nite due to a tornado on the ground South of my area, moving North. As fate would have it, we were spared damages and the alerts changed from tornado to strictly flood warnings until approx 4 AM. Tricky time of year for thunderstorms, flooding and high winds around here. :vbfrown:

I was supposed to be in Birmingham, AL starting this past Wednesday (2 days ago), if Covid had subsided some and my state didn't require a 2-week quarantine after, but if anything it got a bit worse. Some of my friends went ahead with the trip, but I was a bit on the conservative side.

I checked the weather yesterday (Thursday) and it looked like it was perfect by then. Maybe a bit cloudy.

Up to 6 inches of this wonderful mosquito repellent on tap for today. Already an inch on my deck. No bug bites!
