Thanks everyone! I had a good day & lots of FB wishes. I got my BD present early - a digital download of a commentary set that I have in my office for $120. I can't remember what Mrs scjjtt paid for them 20 years ago but today, by print, they are $360. My Bible app company was told by Zondervan that after September they had to sell it for $345 - so Mrs scjjtt let me get a great deal plus I now have all of this on my devices. By the way a friend in our church that uses a iPhone Bible app looked up the cost to add that commentary to his devices & that app charges $499 for this add on! Our oldest daughter said that her gift is coming in October... ...I'm not sure what it does - but hey - it's an electronic so it has to be good. Our other daughter (who is living with us) bought a Groupon for 1 helicopter flight lesson. She said, ''Since we're not paying rent right now...''. I'll let you know how that goes. But thanks for all the well wishes from our BH community. Although I have a FB account & lots of ''friends'' from across the years of ministry throughout the country - I hardly ever post on it & just use it to see families of friends growing up. BH is the community that I check daily & enjoy our common interests. Thanks for making the day after 9/28 so much fun - no one else did it for me but only BH! Happy Birthday! I'm confused...why would he develop a complex about being one of the shining lights here? Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
In honor of National Punctuation Day, which is recognized yearly on Sept 24, allow me to fix this with a single keystroke. TA DA!
I'm interested in one of those Echoes; but I can't figure out why it's so expensive. The voice computer feature is basically built into a lot of devices. Google is coming out with one and it will probably soon be built into everything. So how come a Chromebook or similar can be had for less than a plastic cylinder with a microphone, speaker, 'radio,' and some other assorted electronics?
