    Hi all,

I am happy to tell you that I have made a new release of MemScale, a free Palm OS game:

    MemScale Halloween Edition (v1.1)

This new version of MemScale has been improved to be faster and more beautiful than the first release.

Efforts have been made to provide a beautiful and interesting game including a nice graphical interface, special effects, background sounds and music, a lot of cool sounds for the musical instruments.

    The game:

MemScale Halloween Edition is an easy to play memory game, like SIMON game, which will help you to improve your memory while you will take pleasure to play.
Your purpose is to listen and repeat a sound pattern.

Downloads, documentation and streamed video (streamed flv format):

Here the link where you can downloads the game and its documentation, you also will find a video showing the gae in action:

    MemScale Halloween Edition Page

This page contains also all information you need about this Palm OS application.

    Features:
    • Three difficulty levels (Easy, Normal, Hard).
    • Timed mode.
    • Rotate mode NEW
    • 2 to 8 buttons and sounds according to the selected difficulty.
    • Seven soundfonts (cool sounds, some of then generated with SciLab).
    • Beautiful graphic interface.
    • Halloween atmosphere!

    System requirement:

To run this game your device must have:

    • Palm OS version 5.0 or higher.
    • Screen resolution: 320x320, 320x480.
    • Display: 65536 colors.
    • ARM processor.
    • Streaming sound support.
    • 590kb of free heap memory.

Take care: This game only runs on devices equiped with double resolution and 65536 colors.

I have made this choice for many considerations:
    • Since about four years most of Palm OS equiped devices have got such a display properties.
    • That allows developers to publish games with high quality graphics
    • and so on...

    Application information:

    Title MemScale Halloween Edition
    Version 1.1
    Database name MemScaleHalloweenEdition
    CreatorID MeS1

Note that the Creator ID has been reserved at the offical page, so you can use it without any conflict with other applications.

    Bug report, comments

This version is stable and has been hardly tested by my daughter (the idea of this version comes from her) but only on my Tungsten E2.
If you encounter any problem by playing with, let me know

Anyway, all information are available on the page linked above.

Hope you will love it, enjoy!

    With my best regards,

    Eric.

    Hi headcronie,

Thank you for helping me, yes it would be great if you could include these to links of "preview" under the "screenshot" headline:

    pda-fx.net/content/apps/memscale_halloween_edition/preview01.jpg
    pda-fx.net/content/apps/memscale_halloween_edition/preview02.jpg

Or could you give me the right to modify the thread content by myself?

Once again, thank you for your help,
    With my best regards,

    Eric

    ericquag, welcome to Brighthand!

Thanks for the freeware, I'll give it a try during the weekend. Let me add that the tight policies are due to the current spam craze, not to flesh & bone people on the other side of the line. Brighthand is full of users of any occupation, of course developers included. You come now offering freeware, but you are also welcome as a salesperson, however there are requirements to meet. Besides offering your freeware (WHOA! :D), should you have the intention of making some business, I suggest you get in touch with a moderator (i.e., HeadCronie) to get yourself informed over said requirements. Or, surf around the fora, where you will find Stickies with rules and requirements. I saw last night your recent post in mbennouf's thread about his flight simulator. I gather you both are friends and maybe colleagues. mbennouf has been around for a while, I hope that you stay around as well, to share knowledge and fun!

    Hi,

Many thanks for your help RickAgresta!:)
I'm also glad to be here at Brighthand!
I know well Mo, a very good friend, and its great work for the Palm OS community with many very good and nice games (they are so reallistic).

Many thanks for your help headcronie! :)

I'm currently working on my new website for freely offering most of my work for Palm OS, so I'm updating (and sometimes finishing) many applications that weren't finihsed at this time...
The next to come is FireWritting, absolutely useless;) but so fun, probabely released in some weeks (once again, my daughter likes to take my E2 to play with).

    With my best regards,

    Eric

    Hi hal,

Thank you for your suggestions and your kind words hal.
For now, all my work for Palm OS world is (and will stay) absolutely free.
I started Palm OS developement five (or six) years ago as I was very enthusiast to play with so small and powerfull devices.

Maybe I'll come to the Windows Mobile world for applications development, and maybe I will sell them... but this in another story.

Yes, Mo is a friends of mines, we exchange our ideas since many years!

Of course, I intend to stay here at Brighthand and share apps and other stuff.

About MemScale Halloween Edition, it has been only tested on my E2, let me know if you point any problem (I really hope no:eek: )

    With my best regards,

    Eric

    Hi wozofoz,

Thanks for your welcome and kind words.

I hope you'll have fun with it, the first idea was to provide a Halloween ambience, at this time I was thinking to myself "this is a kind of applications for children, like my daughter". But in fact, not only, as I play with sometimes ;)... and I wonder if the rorate mode is not too hard (my score is really bad!).

I'll forward your thanks to her, she will surely be happy to ear this!:)

    With my best regards,

    Eric

PS: sorry for some grammar/syntax errors... I try to make efforts for that too.
