I do a 50/50 split of calendar entry via desktop web browser, and on my device. She is still trying to figure this new calendar out. I give her props for sticking with me to do it. Being able to see our individual events in one calendar application is a huge advantage. Displaying it so it makes sense to the end user has been the biggest issue.

With Calendars, you can choose if you want to sync to iOS native Calendar or Google Calendar (which I don't do - Google Calendar, that is - so can't help with that.) There's online support, too, at the link I gave for Calendars 5 website. I hope it'll do what you both need.

What about accessing her Google calendar through the browser?

Good idea, Jig. Tried it out. Mobile view of the month calendar shows numeric calendar with selected date events listed below. You can request the desktop view on a mobile device but navigating it is difficult and not all features work.

It was a half-baked idea. Before posting, I tried it on my phone and would not have been terribly happy with that as a solution. While it has some potential (zooming in is nice), you'd lose alarms, require internet access, etc.

My wife is not one to spend money on phone apps, it appears. The calendar app Lauren suggested, does show the calendar just as she wanted. :) However, creating new events in this app that requires inviting other attendees, is a feature you have to pay for? Well... I think that's pretty absurd for starters, but this is iOS we're talking about. Regardless, my wife has decided she will use this app to view, and enter the events using Google Calendar. I guess, if it works for her. *shrug* Maybe she'll get tired of the two app scenario and toss some quarters at the app store. Maybe she won't. :)

The obvious solution is to just get an Android phone. Every calendar app I've tried on Android shows a month view, including the Google calendar app.;)

I tried that. In the end, it is her place of employment that provides her with the device for free as well as the plan for free. I made my suggestion but she said she likes iOS better. Is what it is...
