Destroying your hard drive is the only way to stop this super-advanced malware
The good news, I guess, is that it is unlikely to hit your hard drive.
Sad. I guess you can't trust anyone anymore... Lenovo, how could you!
So glad I completely wipe and build our Lenovo systems from scratch. Vanilla Windows install, and then I add our software. No OEM crap.
I shudder at the thought of using OEM preinstall systems nowdays. Cringe, absolutely cringe!
Lenovo CTO admits company 'messed up' and will publish Superfish removal tool on Friday
Bravo! Windows Defender, McAfee updates fully remove Lenovo's dangerous Superfish adware
This thread has run its course; anything that is of significant value, i.e., truly worthy of being called Breaking News, should get its own thread in Headline News (see * below). 11 months ago when I started this thread, there were more Staff supplied stories than today.
I won't make any further additions to it (replies are a different thing), I encourage you all to do the same -- new threads in a more appropriate forum.
*Since most of us can't start a thread in Headline News, the other highly visible forum is Press Releases/Announcements.
Until I'm otherwise told / scolded.... make a new thread (not a post in this thread), and I'll toss it in Headline News if you wish. Just let me know... Not like the one or two articles a month have any impact on this site anyway. Yay, another new smartphone is released. So... what... Tomorrow, another new phone will be released. Tell me something useful.
