A thought provoking blog from Lenovo: http://blog.lenovo.com/en/blog/retro-thinkpad-time-machine/ Not sure what it really means or where it will go or in what exact ways it would be different from their present high end Windows laptops, but I'm interested to find out. I still use old Lenovo Thinkpads and love them.
I'm accustomed to using the older style as depicted in this article, as we simply don't have a budget that allows us to constantly run the newest and greatest. I can say that these things are very robust. Other manufacturers devices have long since given up the ghost, and fallen apart.
Likewise; my T60P died a couple weeks back and I'm still missing the thing. (Working on a far inferior T400 for the moment until I have cash to fix/replace the T60P.) Still, for as old as it was and as much use as I gave it, that thing was still bulletproof. Nobody beat the Thinkpad line for quality, at least back in the day.
