Greetings all, :D I am looking for a legitimate (no bootlegs or cracked versions, please) copy of Kinoma Player 4 EX (Palm OS) & Kinoma Producer 4 (Windows/Mac). If anyone still has them floating around, then I take them off your hands in a heartbeat! :)

    Welcome to Brighthand, theblacksmith.

Are you sure you really want Kinoma Producer 4? There are so many better options available to produce output for Kinoma Player 4 EX. If you're unsure, I think you can still get a trial copy of Producer 4 and compare it with things like Handbrake, PocketDivXencoder, Super, etc.

It's too bad there was never a trial version of Kinoma Player 4EX, but as I recall, there was a free version that did almost everything 4EX did. I still (rarely) use 4EX on my Palm TX so don't want to give it up.

I use handbrake on OS X for my media ripping and conversion needs.

Yeah, I can see wanting Kinoma Player 4EX (I have it and love it); but I never got Producer, because there are so many free (and paid) options that are as good or better, based on what experts here had said at the time. Producer was quite pricey for what it was.

That's odd. When did this thread become a poll? And why -- the poll doesn't seem to have anything to do with the topic.

AFAIK, it always included the poll, jig. Agreed, not closely related to the subject (at least, not as it's worded, imo).

Thanks for the welcome JigWasHere et al. I managed to find Kinoma Prodeucer 4 as a download online but it requires a Serial Number. Wanting to purchase it for my Palm TX, I tried to activate it from Kinoma's website. However, they no longer sell nor support it as they have stopped development of all their Palm OS products.

So I am stuck. I don't want to try one of those numerous Serial, Crack and Key Generators sites (effectively stealing). Not to mention, they are prone to porn and insane pop-ups. That's why I want to know if others have Kinoma Producer that they bought and have moved from the Palm platform so they have no need for Producer or Player and I could buy their legitimate version.

Yeah, RickAgresta, it's not closely related at all. Here is my rationale. I was lamenting to myself the demise of the Palm OS and many of the App's for that platform (for example; Kinoma Player etc.) Since I wanted to continue using my Palms but was increasingly finding it difficult to buy app's for them. Pocket-Tunes, PocketQuicken, OliveTree, DataViz, BlueNomad, have all faded to black... With that I was guaging where everyone else was going with their PDA/SmartPhones, if they were staying put or jumping ship and if so where were they heading or where have they gone.

    Understand me now?

In my opinion, Kinoma Producer is a waste of time. I don't think you are stuck. There are far better options, which we mentioned. I recommend you stop looking for it and go with something like PocketDivXEncoder.

Did you find Kinoma Player through the links I provided?
