In the review in the sticky, it says the tilt is a Smartphone. In another thread I saw somewhere it explained the difference between Smartphones and Pocket PCs, indicating that the Tild is a Pocket PC. Which is it, so I know which version of varios apps to download? Thanks

The Tilt can run PocketPC applications; it has a touchscreen.

Oh crap. Ignore me. Can't spell, can't think, this cold is mushing my brain.

In settings, identity, it cearly says Model No Kaiser (poor choice of name), Platform Pocket PC.

    Sorry.

    Delete, delete, delete.

A quick note; WM5 and newer Pocket PCs (and PPC phones like the Tilt) can also run Smartphone applications.

    TY.

So, given the choice of the PPC version of an app and the Smartphone version, which would be best?

Sorry to be so dim. I didn't realise how much I must have learned (here) about Palm. I move to Win Mobile and I'm completely out of my depth.

Go PPC if you have the option, it'll likely be more well adjusted to having a touchscreen available.

Don't worry about it. Questions are made to be answered. :)

No worries. WM shares the shallow end of the pool with other OS's begrudgingly.
