    Greetings!

I'd like to pump up my past-used TX's Wifi to the max with the Wi-Fi Enterprise Security Update I found. Since ESU tinkers with the ROM, how safe is installing it since most feedback and directions on it are nearly ten years old? Outside backup are there any special precautions?

    Thanks for any tips!

I don't think it's worth it. By and large, you won't get much use out of the TX's wifi unless you have a B network set up. It could handle B/G mixed mode, but will not be able to use any mixed mode from a router that includes N. Frankly, even when it was new, I mostly used WiFi for wireless syncing as most of it's internet programs were still too primitive. Adding security for networks you can no longer connect to seems a little pointless.

Don't get me wrong. I still love my TX even though I rarely use it. Wifi was great when most networks could work with the TX. Now, not so much. What the TX still does well doesn't need the internet.
