I have a guide that is linked below and it should be applicable to the Tungsten E2 and setting it up to share your PC's Internet connection via Bluetooth.

I do not have a Tungsten E2, but it should be useful for E2 users.

I just thought I would pass it along on this forum.

Dean's Brighthand FAQ can be found here.

Dean's setup guide is specifically for the Tungsten E2. The original Tungsten E does not have a Bluetooth radio in it. For more info on the status of the Tungsten E's wireless capbilities, please read Ed's thread on the subject.

I assume you are recommending the Belkin F8T001. Is there a V1 and v2 of that device? What is the difference? Thanks

The Belkin F8T001 is a good Bluetooth adapter and comes with complete drivers. The V1 was the original version and had a little antennae on it this is no longer available. V2 is the one that is available in stores or online now.

You might find a V1 version on Ebay or something like that.

I have tried to set up a bluetooth connection with my PC to browse the internet. Of course I bought an adapter that did not come with Widcomm software so I had to download that. I have followed the guide at www.whizoo.com but still cannot view webpages. My plam will connect but when I try and browse the web all I get is the error message that the URL I entered is invalid. Any help would be appreciated.

    e2blast, welcome to Brighthand.....

If you are connected with a proper IP and DNS address which is listed on the View Log page on the Palm, then it is most likely a ICS setup issue.

Make sure you have ICS setup properly on the PC. Click here for more information.

If you want to copy and paste your View Log page and your ipconfig /all here it would be more helpful to troubleshoot.

What should I post from the ipconfg screen?
    Thanks for the help!

You can copy and paste the whole ipconfig /all

The Local IP is wrong on the Palm. It should be 192.168.0.xxx where the xxx is a number 2 to 254.

I would go through my guide from top to bottom and make sure every setting is correct.
