I too, have been doing a survey of activity at the "old place" of the "New Posts".
    26th - 5 new posts; 29 views
    27th - 1 new posts; 8 views
    28th - 2 new posts; 9 views

    That says it all really!

The odd thing I noticed from looking at the forum from the forum listing level, there seem to be a large number of people "viewing" the old haunt. Perhaps it is us just seeing if there is anyone still there, but the number there frequently outnumbers the number viewing here.

For example, just now, there are 10 viewing the other place and only 7 viewing our new home.

well just think about the massive knowledge database that is left there.
many people having problems can find good answers to old problems there.

Very true and the old broblems become new again when you first encounter them. Besides, the questions about upgrading to CSNA7 are very analogous to those for CSNA6.

Another thing to keep in mind is that here, some significant fraction of the Garmin folk are reading the OT forum at any given time. I didn't count these people in my stats; only those viewing the Garmin forum. There was no analog of this at PDAStreet. True, there are two separate Garmin forums over there, but I suspect the vast majority of us stuck to the original Palm one.

I guess I missed all of the fun. I never hung out over there. I like everyone here, even though I am pretty new and may qualify as a lurker since I don't post as much as I should. So hello everyone! By the way, does wanting a Sony PSP for my 40th birthday qualify as a midlife crisis?

Not at all, at 51; I'm only one-third through my life and I play with my kids all the time.......
So at the tender age of 40 you have lots of room a head of you.......n/c

Tell it New Cell, tell it! I passed that same milestone myself. The hair is grayer now, though I keep my bonce shaved at a number 5 level and I've managed to keep my waistline under good regulation as well. Like you say, you are never too old...

My midlife crisis is a perversion for collecting Dewalt power tools. I have seven now, three more than the number of GPS units in my drawers. I will, in November, look at trading my Forerunner 201 for one of the new Edge series bike GPS pooters. Midlife crisis, nosiree, I think of it is catch-up!:D
