not that I support conspiracy theories about the damn virus, but with all the "add-ons" it seems to have, it does make me think about bio-engineering. yes, I'm fully aware that prominent organizations have researched its' genetic fingerprint and declared it untampered with, but still.....

My better half has someone on staff that downplays the severity of c19. Fails to properly mask up, and likely only does so because she mandates it. They participated in a non socially distanced softball league with no precautions, where one of the players tested positive. Now that staff member has tested positive. Symptoms a week ago on Sunday. Finally got tested this past Wed, and results back on Fri with confirmation. We've likely been exposed a week ago Wed. We always wear our masks, but that doesn't do much when others aren't masked properly. Most exposure was outside thankfully. Minimal exposure inside. My feathers are very ruffled. When I do everything possible to keep us safe and the people around us, but others don't see the reason to protect people around them... I'm having a hard time biting my tongue about this.

1.5 weeks since exposure and counting...

hc, I feel your pain. :vbfrown: My Personal Rage Index, currently always simmering on a setting of 4/10 based on the general state of things in the USA, ratchets up to about 15/10 when I see people doing selfish/stupid things, especially since my State now resides in that loathsome statistic of Five Most Infected States in America. :vbmad:

I pray that your household has dodged your bullet and remains infection-free! :newpalm:

I'm more inclined to think that this is one of those times when humans find ourselves on the punishing end of a biological hissy-fit. Ebola and like diseases are the stuff nitemares are made of and Coronavirus seems to be the newest entry into the Viral Hall of Infamy. :vbmad:

hc, I perfectly understand how you feel. I still see people without masks, even though in Bolivia it's mandatory to wear one. A couple of weeks ago some unannounced visitors came to the plant, and 2 of the weren't wearing masks. I told them I couldn't let them in, much worse talk to them, until they fetched masks. Turns out they did have them... in their pockets . Once they donned the masks I let them in, and one of them promptly extended his hand for me to shake. I told him I would not shake it, and he was actually offended by my response. I almost ended their visit then, but another of the visitors calmed his companion and I could finally hear what they wanted. That was lucky, because my Personal Rage Index (great invention, lelisa :D) was steadily cimbing and I was about to signal the guard to escort them to the door.
