It will be my pleasure.
Great pics, jig. Geez those are a lot of Marine veterans! Odder, cause they held the poorest survival rate in the Pacific Theatre
It's in life, when the finest hours of a man are best homaged by his peers. Monuments are for heroes, for heroes only lie in graveyards. But much before that, when still alive, it is that we shall see them square in the eyes and say thanks, for whatever reasons and convictions oneself sees fit.
I had not heard of this, though I am involved with other veterans organizations.
If/when you do this again please let me know! I live in the DC area and would love to help out.
I will -- thanks! Honor Flights arrive in DC from all over the country. If you're interested, you could participate in a couple of ways. When flights arrive, you could simply show up at the airport with friends and family to clap and cheer for the veterans. Here's the tour schedule. To volunteer at the DC airports, please email the Airport Coordinators for more information: Contact Page.
I encourage everyone to reach out to all our veterans and thank them for their service. When you see someone in uniform or wearing some symbol of their service, even a simple smile, nod, and positive comment can go a long way.
My WWII hero has been in the ICU since Sunday and isn't expected to last much longer. Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated.
You got it, Jig. Thanks for letting us know.
What Hook said, Jig.
My best wishes for him, jig
Sorry to hear that Jig.
A prayer and a salute from me, too.
