I just tested the hd video playback on my Eee PC 1000HD. Over all it's good, but not great. I can never ever run full 1080i hd video on my netbook. Too slow. However, 720p hd video performs much better.

I downloaded Endeavour Launches For Space Station video (720p) off of this site.

I used VLC to play it.

I should have done this with the Eee PC 901 w/ the Atom CPU.

On my 1000HD, I used regular CPU setting, 900 mhz, not underclock nor overclock.

So if you want to test your HD video performance, go ahead.

Though I really want to see the Atom performs.
