we'll shortly have 4 smartphones on a family plan; the current 2 iPhones don't use all that much data, but I have semi-regularly hit 2Gb per month. I took a fast look at the linked article, and I'm not sure I'd come out ahead/stay the same/spend more $$$....

Hah! I scooped the TabletPCReview team!

The more I look at, it only makes sense if you have a really wired family - 4 phones and few tablets and laptop or two. Of course, that's just my personal opinion. I'd have to see the full details.

According to the Times article, it's quite a bit more expensive. And it seemed to imply that there were no longer individual plans. The cost of a single iPhone would go from $70 to $90 with less data than the recent 4 GB deal.
