When I look back at my smartphone experience, I'm pretty disgusted. Each one had some kind of issue or defect that caused me to limp to the end of a 2-year contract so I could upgrade to the next POS. The Nexus 6 was the first smartphone I purchased outside of a contract and I've been pretty happy with it, but I've barely had it 2 years and it's no longer supported. Quite frankly, I look at my daughter's Moto E4 and think I'd be perfectly happy with it. For $100-ish, I could get a new smartphone each year and not worry.
Optimism isn't my natural state, so maybe it's impending the keyboard mod (knock on wood), but I'm feeling positive. I reject your 90s era, too cool for school cynicism! The future is bright!
(but please don't remember this post when google bricks my phone )
too late; I'm afraid that the adage 'once on the internet, forever on the internet' applies in this case.....
It's funny how close that is to 'What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas' and yet it means the exact opposite.
It also sounds a lot like the phrase applicable to my unfortunate situation, "a moment on the lips, forever on the hips."

I've heard, ''What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas unless it involves an itch!''
