You can use Kinoma 4EX to stream the videos. It costs $24.95 and its great!

There's a link in my signature below this post to Kinoma's website where you can found all the info you need about the product. :)

and sometimes, hoping pays off --- I haven't tried any of the converters referenced in the 2nd post of this thread, but at least one of the hits looks promising.

BTW, I found this thread "Converting YouTube videos?" (http://forum.brighthand.com/showthread.php?t=223252) at the bottom of this page, under the Similar Threads heading. which makes me think a search would have found the thread, too.

I have Kinoma Player 4EX, too. Not only have I streamed from YouTube, but I've saved flash (.flv) videos and played them later.

I read one place that when using Kinoma Player 4EX on the TX to surf YouTube, it won't play audio when watching a video. Can someone confirm that this is not true?

I wish Kinoma had a trial version, so we could try before we buy it.

My daughter has had her TX for about a year now, and although she loves it in many ways, we discuss selling it on ebay sometimes because it doesn't accel in web browsing which is sort of important to her.

I think one thing that would make her much happier with it is if she could watch YouTube videos on it without having to first convert the files. Although I don't like to keep spending money on SW for it, if this program does a good job, will probably do it (or sell the TX). Thanks!

    1) Yes.
    2) Youtube vids are always flash & saved as flv files. Pretty sure it's the same for Myspace vids & all the other video sharing sites.

Yup ... I watch them all the time after I save the .flv files or .mp4 flies and convert them using Applian's Replay Converter. Since they are saved on the TX in that format I always have them with me, even after they are deleted from YouTube. Might not be quite what you are looking for, but it works great. For capturing other .flv files try Applian's Replay Media Catcher.
