Our dog Bingo suffered a stroke this morning. I had to rush him to the vet. If it's just a normal stroke, he'll be fine and home soon. If it's a tumor, which is not uncommon in Golden Retrievers, well that's another matter entirely. Please keep him in your prayers.

    Sad news, indeed, Jeff. :(

Add my best wishes to the list, of course, and give Bingo a pat-n-scratch for me! Do keep us posted, 'kay?

BTW: How's the weather there? That's gotta complicate things a bit...

Good luck with all of it, and I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas with Bingo back for his presents!

best wishes, Jeff, for full and speedy recovery for your 4-footed family member. I type this as the purr-chorus chimes in their warm&furry wishes.

Best wishes, Jeff. I hope Bingo will be just fine and that there isn't a tumor or anything. Poor dog...

The kids were very upset when I came back from the vet without Bingo yesterday. I let them know he had to stay because he was still having seizure-like symptoms and it was best to keep him there until he stabilized. We should get to see him tomorrow. Most vet's offices aren't open today except for dire emergencies and I trust Bingo is in good hands.

Thanks everyone for your prayers and support.

His is doing about 10% better, which is unusual for a dog this age to be getting better so soon after a stroke. He is being gradually introduced to solid food but still depends on an IV. We will be going to visit him this morning.

Thanks again for all your prayers.
