IMHO - 3rd party AV is a sham on Windows. Use the built in software. It is consistently amongst the top rated vendors now.

By built in software, you mean Windows Defender? The stopcodes I've been getting supposedly are often related to antivirus software, but I'm using Windows Defender, so shouldn't it be compatible with Windows?

If the stop codes are related to Defender, you have a pretty serious issue with your entire install. You likely have some corruption if not worse. Defender shouldn't be crashing your system.

It's really odd. It stopped crashing for 3-4 days and then started again; but not as bad.
