The human element of security comes into play for users as well as those who are in charge of safety...
This story links to a synopsis of a study conducted by Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The study sought to determine how well visitors to an online banking site used security and whether they picked up clues that something may be amiss...
    You do the math...:)

By strange circumstance, I received my first phishing email today in a long time! It was purported to be from "First Third Bank" and sounded like a joke to me...

To my surprise, the bank actually exists! They already had a "report a suspicious email" link set up, and I forwarded it to them...

The fact they asked for my "contact information" was suspicious too!!!

(I used a junk email address to forward it to them...)
