in sufficient quantity, vitamin A is toxic; thus, eating the liver of polar bears is a very bad idea, since their livers collect & store vitamin A. One ounce of polar bear liver contains enough Vitamin A (retinol) to kill a person!

According to folklore, the Flying Dutchman is a ghost ship that can never go home, but must sail "the seven seas" forever. The Flying Dutchman is usually spotted from afar, sometimes glowing with ghostly light. If she is hailed by another ship, her crew will often try to send messages to land, to people long since dead.

I know the term already from my youth, though not in this context.
It was some kind of playground thing, to be compared with a normal swing but then with a large horizontal bench (it could carry 4 to 5 children).

To the ancients, "seven" often meant "many," and before the fifteenth century, the many seas, or seven seas, of the world were the Red Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, the Persian Gulf, the Black Sea, the Adriatic Sea, the Caspian Sea, and the Indian Ocean.
