I thought it might be fun to share those useless bits of information that we all get. Who knows, they might just be useful to someone one of these days.

"Dreamt" is the only English word that ends in the letters "mt".

    Oh yeah!!! I love a good arm-wrestling match. ;)

The man that invented the Eveready battery gave away the company so that he could play with his model trains. As foolish as this may sound, it was the best decision that he ever made.

Mary Queen of Scots was convicted and executed because of weak encryption in her correspondence. Her enemies were able to break it, and use a man-in-the-middle attack to get her to incriminate herself in her treasonous plot.

Julius Caesar was the first recorded to use any coding scheme in military communication (it was a simple letter replacement method shifting the alphabet by three). There were others before him but there is no proof of them left so ... :)

Strictly speaking that's not right, but these are really grasping at straws (for obvious reasons):

    "Undreamt"
    "Daydreamt"

The shortest known written communication was "?", sent from a commander/king awaiting news of a seige his army was mounting, and "!", being the reply to indicate success.
