Android Wear disappeared from the Google Store today and no one noticed

    It's not going anywhere. Google removed that section from the official Google Store because they haven't and aren't going to produce their own watch. Their store is only Google branded hardware now. Android Wear isn't going anywhere...at least not for a while.

    Basically, it's all dependent on whatever Apple does (pretty much for everything). If the Apple Watch continues to be popular, Google will keep Android Wear going. If the Apple Watch is discontinued, you'll see Android Wear follow it. It's not like any of these watch manufacturers are going to come out with an Apple Watch, so if they want to put out a smartwatch, it's going to be Android Wear.

    I mean, seriously. They just put out a new Chromebook (PixelBook) when I really thought ChromeOS was dead.
